Quality & Safety
Care delivered with structure, accountability, and genuine commitment
GotoHealthcare is a multi-service regulated care provider operating across domiciliary care, supported living, supported accommodation, and live-in care. Here is exactly how we run, what standards we hold ourselves to, and why families and local authorities trust us.
How we deliver care
Six principles that shape every service we provide
01
Person-centred planning
Every client receives an individual care plan built around their specific needs, routines, preferences, and goals — not a template. Plans are reviewed regularly and updated as circumstances change.
02
Consistent, named carers
Wherever possible, clients receive care from the same people. Consistency builds trust, and trust is the foundation of effective care. Rotating staff is the norm in the industry — at GotoHealthcare, consistency is the norm.
03
Family involvement
Families are partners in care, not bystanders. We keep families informed, involved, and heard — because good care doesn't end at the client's front door.
04
Continuous improvement
We actively seek feedback from clients, families, and staff. We use it. Our CQC Good rating reflects not a moment in time, but an ongoing commitment to getting better.
05
Regulatory compliance
We operate under CQC registration and OFSTED registration under the 2023 Regulations. Compliance is not the ceiling — it's the starting point.
06
Staff development
Every member of our team receives ongoing training, supervision, and support. We believe a well-supported carer is a better carer — and that investment shows in the quality of care our clients receive.
Our journey
Built slowly, built properly
GotoHealthcare didn't grow through marketing or acquisition. It grew because families told other families. Every milestone reflects a quality decision, not a growth target.
2015
A promise made
Jennifer Obitade founds GotoHealthcare following her grandmother's experience of neglectful care. The founding promise: treat every person like family.
2017
Officially registered
Working evenings alongside full-time employment, Jennifer personally cares for the first clients and registers the company.
2020
CQC Rated Good
A landmark inspection. Not the result of a compliance push — the result of caring the right way from day one.
2023
OFSTED registration
Supported Accommodation launched under 2023 Regulations, expanding services to young people aged 16 and over including care leavers and unaccompanied asylum seekers.
Quality assurance
How we keep the standard up
Good care isn’t something you declare — it’s something you check, repeatedly. These are the routines that run behind every service we provide, whether or not anyone is watching.
6 weeks
Supervision
Every member of staff has regular one-to-one supervision.
Regular
Spot checks
Risk-based and unannounced, including weekly checks where appropriate.
Annual
Appraisals
A yearly review of performance, development and training needs.
Before anyone starts
- Enhanced DBS checks
- Reference verification
- Right to work checks
- Full induction before working unsupervised
- Mandatory training completed at induction
While they’re working with us
- Regular supervision on a six-weekly cycle
- Competency observations in practice
- Risk-based spot checks
- Annual appraisal
- Ongoing and refresher training
- Team meetings and shared learning
How we check the care itself
- Care and support plan reviews
- Incident reviews and lessons learned
- Internal quality audits
- Feedback from people we support and their families
- Complaints analysis
- Service improvement planning
We use feedback from the people we support, families, professionals and staff to review care plans, identify training needs and improve the way our services are delivered. In practice that can mean adjusting how support is provided, or changing which staff member supports someone where a different match would help them build rapport more easily. If something isn’t right, please tell us — it’s often how we find out what needs to change.
Trust & governance
Regulated, registered, and independently verified
Our quality is not self-declared. It is verified by the regulators responsible for care standards in England. Here is what each registration means in practice.
Care Quality Commission
Our domiciliary and supported living services are registered with the CQC — the independent regulator of health and social care in England. Our most recent inspection returned a rating of Good.

Ofsted
Our supported accommodation service is registered with Ofsted under the Supported Accommodation (England) Regulations 2023, which set the national standards for this specialist provision. Ofsted regulates supported accommodation for young people under 18. Where we continue supporting young people aged 18 and over, that support falls under our CQC registration.

Working with NHS services
We work alongside NHS and community healthcare professionals as part of individuals’ care arrangements, coordinating with clinical teams where someone’s care plan requires it.
